Children Ambassadors
Coppell Middle School West NJHS Gives Back!
Members of the National Junior Honor Society held a mastectomy pillow drive to helping women fighting breast cancer in West Africa. Though they are a world away, the impact was very strong.
Secondary students at Children's International School (CIS) produce and donate mastectomy pillows to RFCA.
Since 2016, student members of the CIS VOLT (volunteer) Club have worked with RFCA to care for patients fighting breast cancer in Nigeria. They have produced and donated over 500 mastectomy pillows to breast cancer patients in five different states in Nigeria: Lagos, Ibadan, Enugu, Abuja, and Kano.
RFCA has had the privilege of educating these young ambassadors on the signs and symptoms of fighting breast cancer as well as how to reduce individual breast cancer risks (e.g, diet, exercise).
